Well, the last 3 weeks or so...well, if you want to look at the entire picture, it's been for over the last 3 years...but anyway, the last 3 weeks have been rough. The beginning of March I think I was in the most pain I've been in and it got a little better but I think that first week broke me.
I couldn't take it anymore so I took the advice (good advice) of my therapist and went to the doctor for a much needed physical and to discuss my "pain" issues. My pain, both mental and physical, aren't 2 things I like to discuss really. I've touched a little on it here but not very much.
Pain is very isolating. I've realized that my pain has made me coil myself up into a corner and fear moving from the corner. I was also afraid of the pain because I didn't want to hear what my problems really were...I'm referring to the physical aspects of pain now.
Well, after seeing the doc, spilling my guts about my pain, where it was and the level of it, she came to the conclusion that she thinks I have fibromyalgia. (Forgive me if I have already posted this in a previous post, because I have forgotten what I've done lately...ugh) Fibromyalgia is widespread, debilitating chronic pain in the muscles and tissue.
I have an appointment to see a muscular-skeletal specialist in April. He will have the final diagnosis. But in the mean time, I've had to change my diet considerable.
I am not to eat gluten, sugar, caffeine, yeast, dairy, food additives, nitrates, or nightshade vegetables/fruits. Well, I love my breads, caffeine, dairy (cheese and milk) and my veggies....especially peppers of all kinds. I can't have them right now...possibly not anymore. It's been almost a week since the doctor changed my diet and I'm starting to feel a little better.
One good thing is that I've love almost 8 pounds since last Tuesday when they weighed me in. Woohoo! I did it the healthy way. That is a plus.
On a different note, tonight we (my husband and I) go to meet with a car salesman to get a new car. I'm excited. We won't be getting anything really nice but it'll be new to us so I'm excited.
I will take picture and post them. Have a great day all! I miss you all...
