Sick Creativity

What a weekend!  Friday I was sitting on the couch enjoying the fact that my long week was finally over and then it hit me...THE BIG MACK TRUCK...

I literally felt like someone had pushed me down a flight of stairs.  Now seeing that I had been in pain a good part of the week and had just taken something to help with the pain about an hour before it hit me, I couldn't really take anything else.

I was happy to see when I signed on to the computer earlier this evening that I had a bunch of messages and I was given a few new awards.  I want to thank Davidd, Psycho Babbling Basher and 7Ladybugsz for the wonderful awards and I would like to thank Colie for the shout out about the blog buttons.  I'm glad everyone found it useful.  I really am honored.

While I sat on my phat butt this weekend I decided I needed to do something other than sleep the day away (even though sleeping would have been most productive).  Soooo...I ventured into bead-dome once again.  I set up camp on the corner of the couch and blocked myself in.

(Click the link below to continue reading this post.)
My 9 year old sat next to me pretty much the entire time and kept herself busy too.  We made lots and lots of beautiful things that I want to share with you now.

I will first show you my 9 year old Amber's work.  She made several book marks, a pair of earrings and a key chain...enjoy:

Amber's Work
Bookmark she made for her girlfriend.

Bookmark she made for me.

Bookmark she made for her teacher.

Bookmark she made for herself.

Earrings she made for her sister.

Key chain she made for her sister.

I think she did a fantastic job with all her creations.

Now for mine.  I guess being sick brought out the creative juices.  I think it was because I didn't have the energy to do much of anything else so it came out this way.  Hope you enjoy and let me know what you think...

My Work

Really not messy but it just looks like it with all the beads everywhere.

Bronze glass & crystal beads with a ceramic carved pendant.

Enamel pendant with glass, ceramic and stone beads.

I was very excited about this one and I think it came together quite well.
Take a look.

Plane Jane Earrings of Labradorite and Sterling Silver.

Metal key charms with silver and shell chip beads.

Sterling Silver Lotus flower charm surrounded by natural stones on a Sterling Silver Figaro chain.

Wooden beads adorned with oriental symbols/writing on stretchy cord.

Enamel pendant on silver chain with seed bead stand weaved in.

Sterling Silver round beads strung on steel wire.

Genuine chalk turquoise beads adorned with inspirational charms.

I hope you enjoyed them.  I guess being sick paid off a little.  I'm feeling better and am glad that I could jump on to share.  Hope everyone had an awesome weekend!  Let me know what you think!
