A Tale from The Blizzard of 2011

So, after shoveling (as we do not own a freakin' snow blower) from 9am until after 6pm . . .

Shoveling for 9 Hours

. . . trudging throw thigh deep snow . . .

My oldest daughter trying to get through the snow in the driveway . . .

. . . a block away to my sisters yesterday morning . . .

This is the middle of my street.
. . . to borrow eggs . . .

Eggs . . .(no shit!)

. . . and then making 2 big pots of homemade chicken noodle soup I WAS BEAT!!!!  I realized at about 9pm on Tuesday night during the middle of the blizzard that I didn't get eggs at the grocery store for my noodles for my soup the night before!  UGH!  So luckily my sis lives close and I had the ambition to walk through this . . .

But anyway, I never imagined that shoveling a driveway could be as exhausting as it was.  Good God!  Seriously, my body aches in places I didn't think existed.  I feel like I've been punched in the ribs, kicked in the butt, stabbed in my thighs, arms, calves and got my fingers caught in the car door!

I just want to share a few pictures of my driveway and my kids in the snow . . . The Blizzard of 2011!

My youngest standing on a drift in our front walk way.
Notice the coach light is tilted from the wind the night before.

This is my youngest standing in front of where the snow DIDN'T pile up just outside our garage.
It was virtually the only place snow didn't deposit itself all around us.
As shown above, my oldest trudging through the snow in our driveway.
My oldest shoveling the last of what we were physically able to move for the day.
My girls standing in front of one of the sides of our partially shoveled driveway.
Just enough room to get the cars out of the garage.
The back yard from an upstairs bedroom.  So nice how the snow is almost clearing the fences.
Our poor doggie Karma trying to make paths through the snow.
Our little Chihuahua wouldn't go any further than our small wooden porch.
I hope you enjoyed my pictures.  Hope to see others.  Leave me a message with your blog URL so I can come check them out!
