A New Day

So to you I say,

"Today is a new day"

and I make my way

around with a smile

while knowing all the while

yesterday is gone.

Tomorrow unknown

...to me and you

So stand up straight

hold your head high

don't you fret

don't you cry.

You are strong

and as long

as you have a place

there's no reason for

the blues to give chase

so rest your mind

and unwind.
