Thank you

A year ago today I had the shocking news that my daughter has diabetes. It was devastating and heart breaking and what a year it has been. Medically and health wise, she is doing great and it is amazing how fast she adapted and learned so many new things in a short space of time. It was hard for me however to cope and to get to grips with new worries and to learn how to hand it all to the Lord. It has been a painful journey emotionally and a big learning curve to trust God's plan and to hand it all to Him. All I have is praise for what He has done. There were ups and downs but in all of it He was there through it all. Today, and only by chance we had an appointment for a 3 month review for my daughter. It is a routine check to see how her sugar level is controlled over the last few months. We were sitting in the doctor's office waiting for the test results and I am trying to hide my worry (I am still learning to trust the big guy up there) and the results came perfect, as they have been for the last year. So what can i say but a big thank you to God. Also how proud I am of my wonderful little girl who has embraced this new chalange with a big smile on her face as usual. So, keep trusting and keep smilling.
