Mango Tree at Lorong Napiri road - Part 1

Lorong Napiri Road in 2008

This mango tree is discovered by accident. One morning while going to work, I happen to look in the direction of the Salvation Army Home and spotted this tree almost full of mango fruits.

The mangoes has different shape and size at this early stage of fruiting.

This is not the normal mangoes used to be sold at the market.

Some are quite round while others are oblong in shape. All are very healthy growing fruits.

Unfortunately we have to take all the pictures from outside the compound fence. There is no access to the interior of the home which own this tree. It is near a power sub-station.

There are more than twenty mangoes growing on this side of the tree. Don't know how long it can stay beautifully on this tree. Most likely animals will start eating them soon.

This umbrella shaped mango tree is still flowering even though the fruits are going to be ripe soon. The umbrella shape mango plant is quite common around this area. There are planted less than 10 years ago.

Another 15 to 20 mangoes at the other side of the tree. Mostly all the fruits are round in shape. Healthy green fruits going to be harvested soon, before their time?

Lorong Napiri road changes rapidly from since 20 years ago. It was just a small lane going to the rented blocks on the left which were demolished many years ago. It is replaced by a secondary school called Bowen Secondary School.

On the right is the Bowen Secondary School where my nephew studies. On the left is the Salvation Army Home (Gracehaven) and Bright Vision Hospital run by a Buddhist Temple.

This is one tree that outgrown the roadside trees. Opposite the other side of the road is MINDS (Movement for the Intellectually Disabled of Singapore).
